Zap2it reports the Fast National Ratings for Saturday's March 6, 2004 Hack episode 2-17 One for my Baby:

CBS was also riding high at 9 p.m., thanks to Hack, 5.2/10, followed by America's Most Wanted on FOX, 5.1/9. ABC remained in third and NBC had a slightly better hour courtesy of Frasier, 3.2/6, followed by a lackluster Happy Family, 2.7/5. (3/7/2004)

In the Final Nielsen Ratings for the week of February 23 through February 29, 2004 Hack Episode 2-16, Misty Blue came in at 8.5 Mms viewers, #54. (3/3/2004)

In Gail Shister's story from the Philadelphia Inquirer, CBS to decide if ride is over for Philly-based 'Hack.' Ms. Shister incorrectly reported that the 2nd season of Hack has been averaging 5.9 Million viewers.

From the 2nd Season Hack Ratings page, this was clearly understated.

In fact,, the average for this season is far larger,~ 8.4 Million viewers. Ms. Shister acknowleded, this, in a correction, to her original story. (3/3/2004)

Zap2it reports the Fast National Ratings for Saturday's February 28, 2004 Hack episode 2-16 Misty Blue:

Gump still ruled at 9 p.m., with ABC in first. Second went to CBS' Hack, which had a 5.7/10. On FOX, America's Most Wanted had a 4.9/9, with the 3.6/7 repeat of Law & Order on NBC in fourth. (2/29/2004)

There is an (unconfirmed) report that David Morse will soon be heading to the Left Coast, (aka West Coast) in the next few weeks, for a movie project.

"... Although regularly scheduled programming on CBS (for their respective hours) (Star Search: #1, 5.6/10; Hack: #3, 5.4/ 9; The District: #2, 7.1/12) gave the Eye net an overall win in the overnights, based on adults 18-49 the network was fourth with an average 1.7/ 5. This story from the New York Post mentions Hack, saying:

"Jane Krakowski will guest-star in an upcoming episode of CBS' Hack as a woman from Olshansky's (David Morse) past whom the crimefighting Philly cabdriver recalls in a flashback-type narrative.

In the episode, One For My Baby, Krakowski plays Celia, whose dying husband puts a contract out on himself so his family won't have to suffer through his illness. Celia hires Olshansky to find the hitman so she can save her husband - and sparks fly between the two. Hack airs Saturdays (9 p.m./Ch. 2)."

"On this typically lackluster Saturday, CBS's combination of Star Search (#1: 5.4/ 9), Hack (#1: 6.5/11) and The District (#1 for the evening: 7.2/12) ranked first in every half-hour in the overnights and number one overall in total viewers (8.86 million according to the fast nationals). Although Fox reality stalwarts Cops (#2: avg. 5.0/ 8) and America's Most Wanted (#2: 5.1/ 8) ranked second in the overnights, based on adults 18-49 the network won the evening with an average 2.9/ 9. "FOX and CBS both claimed a share of the 8 p.m. lead with Star Search and COPS both averaging a 4.8/9 for the hour. NBC was third with the 4.0/7 beginning of the movie As Good as it Gets, better than the numbers for ABC's Wonderful World of Disney presentation of Liar, Liar.

With the 5.5/10 for Hack at 9 p.m., CBS had another hourly win. FOX stayed in second with the 4.8/8 for America's Most Wanted. The ABC movie earned a 4.7/8 for the hour, topping As Good as it Gets on NBC." (1/18/2004)

In the Final Nielsen Ratings for the week of December 15 through December 21, 2003 Hack Episode 2-11, Gone came in at 7.5 Mms viewers, 4.7/9, #60. (12/26)

Mediaweek.com reports the Nielsen Overnight ratings for Saturday, December 20, 2003 with Hack episode Gone earning a 5.9/9 from 9:30-10:30 PM EST. (Other areas of the country were not affected by the over-run of the football game). With the competition of The Santa Clause on ABC (5.7/10 from 9-11 p.m.) and National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation II on NBC (4.3/ 7 from 8-10 p.m) (12/22)

This Reuters report from The Hollywood Reporter CBS' Moonves Singing Praises of Sunday Schedule mentions Hack saying:

"The network is down sharply in all categories on Saturdays, where the sophomore drama Hack has failed to do much business after being moved from Friday." (12/21)

The Paramount Hack web site is reporting that Hack Ep 2-11, airing December 20, 2003 is called Gone and that the episode was written by David Morse. No official word, yet, from CBS, but an interesting development.

The Good Son will be released on Region 1 DVD by Fox Home Entertainment on February 3, 2004. The DVD is remastered in anamorphic widescreen and will feature only the trailer. Suggested retail price is $14.95. (12/3)
