Jamie and his buddy are beaten in what appears to be a gay bashing incident and they enlist the help of Olshansky to locate the thugs responsible.
Jamie initially refuses to believe his friend is a homosexual; however, his friend soon admits that he is, yet desperately wants to keep his life choice private. Thus, Jamie's friend is reluctant in providing any information that could lead to apprehending their attackers.
As Olshansky snoops around, he soon finds the beat cops assigned to the case are only marginally interested. Olshansky learns the cops have a history of shoddy work when it comes to investigating similar attacks against gays. Now, he must investigate himself with no support from the local authorities.
