													Actor Recalls Cab Driving Days

														PASADENA, Calif. (AP) - For his new show called Hack, David Morse has the experience to play an ex-cop who now drives a cab.  
													 
													No, he's never been a cop.  
													But, the 48-year-old actor has been a cabdriver  one summer in Boston.  
														 
														And, he has some wild stories about his days behind the wheel.  
														 
														"I got chased by a carload of guys who were trying to rob me," Morse told reporters. "It was literally a high-speed chase through the worst part of the city.  
														 
														"I had to do one of those sliding-across-the-intersection-and-lose-them kind of things."  
														 
														Morse's new show, Hack, debuts Friday night on CBS. He plays a fired policeman who finds a new road to justice as a cabbie. Andre Braugher co-stars.  
														 
														Morse is best known for his role as Dr. Jack "Boomer" Morrison in the 1980s drama St. Elsewhere. Since then, he has appeared in a number of movies, including The Green Mile and Contact.  
														 
														Morse said he's glad to settle down in Philadelphia after all the traveling.  
														 
														'It's really tough on a family," he said.
